1 John 1:5-7
God is Light !
5This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all. 6If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth: 7But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.
The Word teaches us that there is no darkness at all in God. That if we walk in him, we are light. Therefore if someone says that they are in God and does not shine “God’s” light, is not walking with God. Each of us understand that we are not perfect, but you do not have to be perfect to walk in the light of God, and demonstrate you’re able to shine. The darkness is not know for it’s presence, but the light is.
Also these verses teaches us that there are consequences by walking in the light. If we walk in light, we have fellowship one with another. I understand this verse as follow: Where God is, there’s fellowship, no fellowship where God is not present. This verse is evident in many places where it’s been said that God is present but there is no fellowship one with another. Having fellowship one with another is the physical consequence of walking with God.
The spiritual consequence is that “the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.”
If you say you are walking in the light, you have to shine the light of God even through your imperfection…

Dios es luz
5Este es el mensaje que hemos oído de él, y os anunciamos: Dios es luz, y no hay ningunas tinieblas en él. 6Si decimos que tenemos comunión con él, y andamos en tinieblas, mentimos, y no practicamos la verdad; 7pero si andamos en luz, como él está en luz, tenemos comunión unos con otros, y la sangre de Jesucristo su Hijo nos limpia de todo pecado.
La misma Palabra nos enseña que no hay tinieblas en Dios. Que si andamos en el, tenemos Luz. Entonces entiendo, que auque alguen por diga que esta en el, y no demuestra luz, no anda con Dios. Creo que cada uno de nosotros entendemos que no somos perfectos, pero no hay que ser perfecto para andar en luz, y demostrar que andas en luz. Las tinieblas nunca resaltan por su presencia, pero la luz si.
También por este verso entendemos que en el andar en luz tiene sus consecuencias. Si andamos en luz, tenemos comunión los unos con otros. Pues entiendo este verso de la manera siguiente: Donde esta Dios, hay comunión y donde no esta Dios, no hay comunión. Es este verso evidente en muchos lugares donde se dice que esta Dios presente, pero no hay comunión los unos con los otros. El andar en comunión los unos con otros es la consecuencia física de andar con Dios.
La consecuencia espiritual es que “la sangre de Jesucristo su Hijo nos limpia de todo pecado.”.
Si dices que eres luz, tienes que alumbrar aun en tu imperfección….
